Valley City State senior Brady Anderson and sophomore Seri Geisler earned the final NSAA Athlete of the Week awards in their respective sports.

A senior on the VCSU baseball team, Anderson was named Co-NSAA Player of the Week last week after a strong performance during the NSAA Conference Baseball Tournament in Valley City.

Geisler, a sophomore on the track & field team, was named Co-NSAA Field Athlete of the Week after winning conference championships in javelin and shot put last weekend.

Co-North Star Athletic Association Baseball Player of the Week
Brady Anderson – Valley City State (N.D.) – 5'11" – Senior – Catcher/3rd Baseman – Jamestown, N.D. – Anderson led the North Star Tournament with a .588 batting average as Valley City State (N.D.) advanced to the Bracket B Championship.  He had multi-hit games in all four VCSU's contests, including a pair of three-hit games.  At the tournament, Anderson was 10-of-17 with two home runs and collected seven RBIs.  He also registered a slugging percentage of .947  He ended his career at Valley City State as all-time leader in hits (225), RBIs (156) and doubles (53), all of which he set this season.

Co-North Star Athletic Association Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
Seri Geisler – Valley City State (N.D.) – Sophomore – Grand Rapids, Minn. – Geisler earned a pair of throwing titles at the North Star Athletic Association conference meet for Valley City State (N.D.).  She won the javelin throw after posting the NSAA conference meet record of 46.28 meters (151 feet, 10 inches).  Geisler also won the shot put title, recording a new North Star conference meet distance of 13.36 meters (43 feet, 10 inches).  She was seventh in the hammer throw with a measurement of 38.92 meters (127 feet, 8 inches).  Geisler was one of the Co-Field Athlete-of-the-Meet after earning 20 points in the conference meet.
